Accountant
1. Manage/conduct all accounting activities.
2. Accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger.
3. Manage cash flow process and reporting.
4. Coordinate and prepare monthly financial reports.
5. Prepare grant reports/billings to funders (HUD and other federal contracts).
6. Banking relationships and appropriate strategies to optimize cash position.
7. Coordinate grant and contract requirements with management to ensure that expenditures and time are charged appropriately.
8. Ensures that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the agency are enforced.
9. Responsible for working with auditor to complete annual audit.
10. Maintains a working knowledge of GAAP standards.
11. Ensures necessary state and federal tax returns are filed.

 

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
2. A minimum of five years of accounting work experience.
3. Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and financial statement interpretation.
4. Knowledge of and experience with GAAP.
5. Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, Quickbooks.
6. A self-starter with ability to prioritize and deliver results with minimal supervision.
7. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
8. Must possess a valid California driver's license and have a good driving record.

    Data Analyst

    Manage data, analyze, review, and report from our web based database - the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Used by over 45 agencies throughout San Diego County, the HMIS is key to coordinated services and local/state/federal reporting. Serve as a liaison to our community/agency partners and provide training and ongoing support of their staff members who use the HMIS. Make a positive difference in our nonprofit/social service community.

    Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
