SUMMARY:Live Diversion and Housing Problem Solving Training Part 2
DESCRIPTION:August 18\, 2022 @ 8:00 am – 2:00 pm \nThis is Part 2 of two 6-hour live training sessions needed to complete Diversion and HPS Training. The Diversion and HPS prerequisite course should be completed prior to attending Part 1. Part 1 (11/30/2021) should be attended prior to attending Part 2. \nTraining Description: \nA continuation from Part 1. Part 2 is a 6-hour training session (with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30am) with Diversion trainers and participants. Any questions that were not able to be addressed will be covered in Part 2. Participants should be prepared to have their camera on at all times as there are many breakout and discussion groups. \nNote: This training is by special invitation only. DESCRIPTION:Harm Reduction Training (people only need to attend one session) \nSavina\, 1388 Kettner – community social room – 40 people max \nTuesday\, August 16 from 10:30am-12pm  \nand  \nThursday\, August 18 from 1:00pm-2:30pm \nA conversation and training on best practices in harm reduction related to substance use and/or other harmful behaviors that people living on the streets may engage in for survival or other reasons \nIf you are interested in attending one of the Harm Reduction Trainings please RSVP Zoe Ridgway at zoe.ridgway@rtfhsd.org.  These will be in person downtown and are limited to 40 people\, so if you RSVP\, it is important that you are sure you are able to attend. \nAfter each of these two sessions will be a mini munch and mingle – light food and conversation on encampments and your engagement.\nPlease check the Events calendar for the last training opportunities on 8/19 that focuses on Encampment Engagement.
