SUMMARY:Live Diversion and Housing Problem Solving Training Part 1
DESCRIPTION:This is Part 1 of two 6- hour live training sessions needed to complete Diversion and HPS Training. Before attending any live sessions\, you will need to complete a brief prerequisite course that will cover the basics of Diversion and Housing Problem Solving. (Key terms\, Steps\, and Outcomes). At the end of the prerequisite course a quiz link will be provided. As with all of our training (that has a quiz)\, a score of 90% or better will be required to obtain credit for the course. \nTraining Description: \nPart 1 consists of a 6-hour session (with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30am) with Diversion trainers and participants. This session is highly interactive and will focus on learning and practicing the skills needed to divert those facing homelessness to return to safe and appropriate housing. Participants should be prepared to have their camera on at all times as there are many breakout and discussion groups. \nNote: This training is by special invitation only. SUMMARY:Motivational Interviewing Training
DESCRIPTION:As RTFH continues to promote the implementation of the Homeless Outreach Standards\, training resources are being identified within the Standards for homeless outreach workers.  These training resources are available for staff who may not have access to them within their organizations.  We are pleased to announce trainings that are now available through UCLA’s Integrated Substance Abuse Programs on Motivational Interviewing. \nAttendance is limited for each training scheduled for 4/25/2022 and 5/25/2022 each from 8:00-11:30 am.  People should register for only one date\, and please register early to secure your spot in the training. \nDue to high demand for these trainings\, you must attend if your RSVP has been accepted\, OR notify Victoria Norith via email: vnorith@mednet.ucla.edu to cancel your RSVP within12 days of the training. \nPlease click here for more information and registration instructions.
