DESCRIPTION:HMIS New User Training Overview: Trainees will receive a training email from the HMIS team on training day and/or as early as the day before training as long as the trainee has been registered and approved by their Agency Administrator. The training email will include a link to watch the New User Webinar which will include instructions on how to complete a guided data entry practice. The trainees’ data entry practice will then be reviewed by the HMIS team for completeness and understanding of the standard HMIS workflow. \nPlease register staff members at least 48 hours in advance to the training session. We will email the training information to trainees the day before the registered training date and before close of business. Trainees are to complete all requirements before the two week deadline. All training is completed online and is self-paced. Before attending any live sessions\, you will need to complete a brief prerequisite course that will cover the basics of Diversion and Housing Problem Solving. (Key terms\, Steps\, and Outcomes). At the end of the prerequisite course a quiz link will be provided. As with all of our trainings (that have a quiz)\, a score of 90% or better will be required to obtain credit for the course. \nTraining Description: \nPart 1 consists of a 6-hour session (with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30am) with Diversion trainers and participants. This session is highly interactive and will focus on learning and practicing the skills needed to divert those facing homelessness to return to safe and appropriate housing. Participants should be prepared to have their camera on at all times as there are many breakout and discussion groups. \nNote: This training is by special invitation only. DESCRIPTION:The purpose of #WeAllCount is to collect data on the needs of people experiencing homelessness in our community. The count also provides an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of homelessness and to spark action. SUMMARY:Live Diversion and Housing Problem Solving Training Part 1
DESCRIPTION:This is Part 1 of two 6- hour live training sessions needed to complete Diversion and HPS Training. Before attending any live sessions\, you will need to complete a brief prerequisite course that will cover the basics of Diversion and Housing Problem Solving. (Key terms\, Steps\, and Outcomes). At the end of the prerequisite course a quiz link will be provided. As with all of our training (that has a quiz)\, a score of 90% or better will be required to obtain credit for the course. \nTraining Description: \nPart 1 consists of a 6-hour session (with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30am) with Diversion trainers and participants. This session is highly interactive and will focus on learning and practicing the skills needed to divert those facing homelessness to return to safe and appropriate housing. Participants should be prepared to have their camera on at all times as there are many breakout and discussion groups. \nNote: This training is by special invitation only. SUMMARY:RTFH Community Engagement Session on People Who Are Black and Experiencing Homelessness
DESCRIPTION:People who are Black are overrepresented in the United States’ homeless population\, even though they comprise only 13 percent of the total population in the country. In the San Diego region\, Black people represent between 5.5-6.4 percent of the overall population; however\, they comprise 26-28 percent of the homeless population. \nThe RTFH Ad Hoc Committee on Addressing Homelessness Among Black San Diegans (AHABSD) invites community members to discuss the needs of people in their programs who are Black. Discussion facilitators will also share feedback from last year’s community engagement sessions conducted in collaboration with people with lived experiences of homelessness. \nYour participation will be essential in helping to inform the work of the Ad Hoc Committee. This spring\, the AHABSD will produce an Action Plan that provides recommendations to the CoC community on how to improve services and outcomes for people who are Black and experiencing homelessness. \nThis session will be held on Mar 8\, 2022\, at 1:00 PM. Register today!
