The training email will include a link to watch the New User Webinar which will include instructions on how to complete a guided data entry practice. The trainees’ data entry practice will then be reviewed by the HMIS team for completeness and understanding of the standard HMIS workflow. \nPlease register staff members at least 48 hours in advance to the training session. We will email the training information to trainees the day before the registered training date and before close of business. Trainees are to complete all requirements before the two week deadline. All training is completed online and is self-paced. SUMMARY:In Person Diversion and Housing Problem Solving Training - Part 1
DESCRIPTION:This is Part 1 of two 6- hour in person training sessions needed to complete Diversion and HPS Training. Before attending any live sessions\, you will need to complete a brief prerequisite course that will cover the basics of Diversion and Housing Problem Solving. (Key terms\, Steps\, and Outcomes). At the end of the prerequisite course a quiz link will be provided. As with all of our trainings (that have a quiz)\, a score of 90% or better will be required to obtain credit for the course. \nTraining Description: \nPart 1 consists of a 6-hour session (with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30am) with Diversion trainers and participants. This session is highly interactive and will focus on learning and practicing the skills needed to divert those facing homelessness to return to safe and appropriate housing. \nNote: This training is by special invitation only. \nIf you have any questions about Diversion and HPS Training you can reach out to our Diversion Training team at taskforce@rtfhsd.org.

DESCRIPTION:To ensure outreach workers throughout the county have the tools to work effectively with people who are unsheltered\, and help them move into housing\, the Outreach Standards contain training requirements in specific areas. \nOne of the training areas is Motivational Interviewing. The Regional Task Force on Homelessness has partnered with UCLA’s Integrated Substance Abuse Programs to provide Motivational Interviewing training for outreach workers who do not have it available through their own organizations. Outreach workers only need to attend one training. The Regional Task Force on Homelessness has partnered with UCLA’s Integrated Substance Abuse Programs to provide Motivational Interviewing training for outreach workers who do not have it available through their own organizations. Outreach workers only need to attend one training.
