HMIS Training and Support
The Regional Task Force’s HMIS Support Team provide HMIS participating agencies and users with training and support. If you are a current HMIS user and you need technical support, your first point-of-contact is your agency’s HMIS administrator. If they have been unable to assist or you are unsure who your agency’s administrator is, please email the HMIS Support Team.
All new HMIS users must complete New User Training before they can be licensed and log into the HMIS. Training is currently available online, and consists of a series of online videos and quizzes as well as a data entry practice exercise that the RTFH staff will review and offer feedback/corrections on.
Request HMIS Training
To request training for one or more new staff members, please complete and submit this online form. You can expect to hear back from the HMIS Team within 3-5 days after doing so with an email to yourself and the new trainee that will include instructions on the first step of training. Because trainees are guided through the training process by emails from the HMIS Team, a staff member has to have an email address set up with your organization before you can request HMIS training.
Request CES Training
CES training courses are available for all three CES roles: Outreach Worker, Housing Navigator and Housing Provider. The courses are also available online and each includes a corresponding data entry practice exercise corrected by the CES training team.
To request CES training for current HMIS users, please fill out the online training request form and indicate which CES roles are needed. You will hear back from the CES training team via email.
Online Training Content
All online training content is accessible through Adobe Captivate Prime, the application that the Regional Task Force has set up to host online training. Please note that you cannot log into Adobe Captivate Prime until you have been registered by RTFH staff. To request access, please follow the instructions above under “Request HMIS Training”. If you have already been registered and are having trouble logging into Captivate Prime, please email the HMIS Support team.
