SAN DIEGO –  The Regional Task Force on Homelessness (RTFH) is excited to announce the addition of two seasoned public affairs and communications professionals, Jordan Beane and Tony Manalatos, to their growing organization.

“I am thrilled to add Jordan and Tony to our team,” RTFH CEO Tamera Kohler said. “Communication is a vital part of the work we do and I believe their experience and talent will make a positive impact on how we talk about homelessness, solutions, best practices and the people so many of us across our region are working to help.”

“I look forward to getting to know Jordan and having the opportunity to work with Tony again to advance the important work at the RTFH,”  RTFH Board Chair Ray Ellis said. “They are strong additions to the team.”

Jordan Beane joined RTFH as the non-profit’s new Director of Policy and Communications on March 1. Jordan spent the last three years as the Communications Director and Policy Advisor for San Diego City Councilmember Jennifer Campbell.

As the Director of Policy and Communications, Jordan’s role includes developing and implementing a strategic communications plan, elevating RTFH’s visibility and increasing the awareness of RTFH initiatives. Additionally he oversees the editorial strategy and content development for RTFH’s social media channels.

During his time at City Hall Jordan led all aspects of the Councilmember’s communication efforts including messaging, social media, digital outreach, and press releases. Additionally he helped craft policy on some of the Councilmember’s biggest priorities in the environmental space.

Before working in the public sector Jordan spent a decade in the NFL as a digital media professional for two different teams, winning three local Emmy awards for his work.

In addition to Jordan, Tony and his firm, Manolatos Public Affairs, joined RTFH on March 1. Tony is a successful public affairs professional, providing strategic advice and tactical implementation that help his clients achieve their goals.

Tony is a seasoned strategist with 20+ years of experience in public relations, politics and public policy. He is a lead consultant for several affordable and market rate homebuilders as well as San Diego Unified School District and the San Diego Loyal Soccer Club. Tony and his teams have developed and led numerous effective public affairs campaigns for top organizations, including Best Place 4 Girls for Girl Scouts San Diego and Better SD for the San Diego Unified School District.

At RTFH, Tony will work with Jordan and Tamera to ensure the organization is reaching the right people at the right time with the right messages.
