Zee King is a passionate advocate for social equity and community well-being, driven by both lived experience and professional expertise. Born and raised in San Diego, Zee has personally navigated
foster care, homelessness, parenting, and the challenges faced by Transitional Age Youth (TAY). These experiences shape their commitment to ensuring that community members receive the support, dignity, and resources they deserve.
As a Lead Care Manager, Zee helps individuals access vital services such as Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports, and Housing Transition Navigation under Medi-Cal’s CalAIM program. They also serve as a Peer Support Specialist board member on the Transitional Age Youth Behavioral Health Services Council, where they elevate the voices of young people in transition and help shape services that truly meet their needs.
Alongside their advocacy work, Zee is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at California State University San Marcos . Their academic journey reflects a dedication to bridging lived experience with
education and leadership, with the goal of driving systemic change that creates stronger, more inclusive communities.
