After thorough discussion, the CoC Board proposes expanding its membership by adding two seats. This expansion aims to enhance representation from critical sectors and stakeholders, ensuring broader input and fostering collective impact within the CoC.
To implement this expansion, an amendment to the 2024 CoC Charter would be necessary. The charter, most recently ratified by the General Membership in May 2024, will require updates to accommodate the following:
- Addition of two new seats to the CoC Board.
- Revision of the Sector Representation guidelines outlined in Appendix E of the CoC Board Structure.
The CoC Board convenes annually for a retreat, where discussions center around progress on the Regional Plan, Board priorities, and recruitment strategies for the upcoming year. The next retreat is scheduled for August 15th. At this retreat, the Board will finalize the decision to expand by two seats, define priority sectors for representation, and establish a process to implement this expansion immediately, rather than waiting for the next annual charter review in April 2025.
We will provide an update via email and our website after August 15th.
