Results from the 2019 annual count of the region’s homeless population found (known nationally as the Point-in-Time Count and locally as the WeAllCount) are now available. WeAllCount results for 2019 show that – at the very minimum – there are 8,102 homeless San Diegans living on our streets or in our shelters on any given night.

The Point-In-Time-Count (PITC), known locally as WeAllCount, was held in the early morning
hours on Friday, January 25th, 2019 with more than 1500 volunteers and outreach workers across the region
utilizing strengthened methodology, focused on engaging our homeless population directly, with one-on-one
conversations guided by informed questions, wherever they might be experiencing homelessness.

Since the count was conducted, the Regional Task Force on Homelessness has worked to compile and analyze the data in order to prepare results to submit to the Department of Housing and Urban Development and share with the community.

See the WeAllCount page for more information on this year’s WeAllCount results.
